February 28, 2026: Love of Servitude, Every Successful Revolution, We Are Citizens.

Without economic security, the love of servitude cannot possibly come into existence.”

----Aldous Huxley “Brave New World”

This is the simple truth the idiot wrong cannot bring itself to understand. This is the fault line in the coalition, the uneasy alliance of populist working class with the billionaire oligarchy, that is at the core of the ReSCUMlickan Party. This is what now threatens to unravel the skein of lies, corruption, and lust for power of Caesar Disgustus and his minions. They weren't paying attention in school; perhaps, like tRUMP, they could never be taught. They didn't learn one of the basic tenets of history: every successful revolution is a middle class enterprise. The middle class will simply not go quietly.

As the ResCUMlickans rush headlong into an enterprise that concentrates wealth into an ever more powerful oligarchy and, in the bargain, savages the middle class, they expect that the people will accept our emerging servitude not with resignation, but with joy. The worship of the 'chosen one' will blind them to their pain. Revenge replaces results. The bargain, according to these lights, is the exchange of real freedom for mere performance; the sadistic punishment of enemies real and imagined, and much more imagined than real. Hence, the 'culture wars'; where building concentration camps replaces building of factories; where the pleasure of sadism is a salve for economic pain. This has always been the playbook of every tin-horn dictator, every bloated puffed up strong man; every fascist scumbag who ever strutted across a political stage.

By systematically destroying every institution in this republic and arming the population with well over 350 million firearms, the ReSCUMlickans have rendered this country damn near ungovernable. And, given our history of determined individualism it is unclear whether this errant experiment in authoritarian rule will succeed. Americans, I suspect, will not accept accept it.  We will not be made to love our assigned servitude. We are not subjects. We are citizens.

We're not gonna take it

never did and never will

we're not gonna take it

gonna break it, gonna shake it

let's forget it better still”

-----”We're Not Gonna Take It”, The Who

Impeach and Imprison the Bastards.
