October 3, 2026: In The Stretch, A Sinking Ship, Better Than Watergate

Thirty one days before the election when Americans will render a preliminary verdict on the second tRUMP maladministration. It doesn't look good for our Orange Turd posturing as modern Caesar. The stomach retching stench has even the maggots looking to the skies and crying out in anguish, “my god what have we wrought?”. What indeed.

As we round the corner and head into the stretch it doesn't look good, as we approach the finish line, for the Ralph Kramden of contemporary politics.

He is seventy points, in several recent polls, “underwater” on his handling of the economy. A seventy point spread puts him at a mere 15 percent approval as opposed to 85 percent disapproval. His numbers are even worse when it comes to his handling of inflation. Whatever the issue, tRUMP is deep in the hole. Indeed, among independents those who 'strongly support' him are now numbered in single digits, a mere nine percent. A further fall of as little as four percent would put him within the margin of error, which is to say near non-existent. Meanwhile independent voters who strongly disapprove of his governance is now a clear majority of around 53 percent. This is a segment of the population that outnumbers both Democrats and Republicans and decide elections. Half the nation tell pollsters that they won't vote for a single Republican.

He hasn't delivered on a single campaign promise. Inflation continues to rise with gasoline at four and a half dollars and diesel at near six dollars a gallon. Housing is unaffordable. So are groceries with some items 40 percent or more higher. He hasn't built the wall. He hasn't delivered the DOGE checks, nor the refund of the Obamacare subsidy. And the tariff rebate, well that went to the corporations on the legal fiction that it was they who paid the tax after they passed the cost off to we consumers. He hasn't released all of the Epstein files, fearing his exposure as a pedophile. He has got us into another foreign war, one in which there appears no quick exit, short of embarrassing defeat. He has savaged our manufacturing sector and the auto industry in particular.

Recent polling casts a deep pall over Rescumlickan prospects as the public credits tRUMP and his clown show with their increasing troubles. Not Biden nor the 'socialists', but Disgustus and his minions.

It is so bad that ReSCUMlickans have all but given up on retaining the Senate seat in North Carolina vacated by Tom Tillis who, facing maggot backlash in the primaries has decided to seek the exits. Soon to follow will be Ohio and blood-red Texas where Democrats haven't won any state-wide office since Lloyd Bensten, thirty years ago. ReSCUMlickan seats in Ohio, Main, and Alaska are in play, and the contests are near even in Nebraska, Kansas, South Carolina and Florida.

If all goes well Democrats will easily take 5 seats, I wouldn't be surprised that it is twice that number. It has long been shaping up to be that kind of year.

And Disgustus can blame no one but himself. He has savaged the base of his support. Take Farm Country. He has chased the labor farmer's need to tend the crops from the field by terrorizing the population. He has increased the price of energy, fertilizer, machinery and the cost of export by his ill-advised tariffs. He has eliminated whole markets by ending USAID, which was, in effect, a farm subsidy. He has closed rural hospitals by cutting Medicaid. In every way possible he has savaged the rural economy and instituted a reign of terror. Hell, he's even savaged the ranchers by importing cheap beef from Argentina. Travel the countryside, one will search in vain for tRUMP flags, signs, and home-made portraits on landscapes featuring the 'golden one' painstakingly painted on the walls of barns and out-buildings. Stores which had sprung up across the countryside like weeds in the spring selling nothing but tRUMP merchandise are now boarded up or closing. The maggots are like rats jumping a sinking ship; all, that is, except Michael Cohen who inexplicably, has jumped from the lifeboat back aboard. He has screwed the American farmer and rancher coming and going; raising the cost of production and killing the markets. China is buying soybeans and other produce elsewhere. The same with Canada and much of the rest of the world. Disgustus is “underwater' in 47 of the 50 states with only Idaho, Wyoming and West Virginia still marginally in his column. Is it any wonder that Kansas and Nebraska, Iowa and, perhaps, Montana are now in play? A clear majority of Republicans polled now correctly blame not Biden but tRUMP for their troubles.

The “it was Joe Biden who shit my pants” strategy simply doesn't cut it anymore. Neither will idiotic appeals to 'cultural' issues like trans athletes, 'socialism', or imagined waves of crime or migration. No untold millions in campaign contributions will save him now. Nothing but outright fraud will prevent the reckoning.

The rats are jumping ship as White House aides are leaving in droves. It is best, they are advised, to lawyer up for their time before congressional committees awaits with all the attendant publicity. It promises to be great television, better than 'The Apprentice', better still than The Celebrity Apprentice, hell, even better than Watergate.
