You were warned. Adam
Schiff stood in the well of the Senate and warned you. He told you
that tRUMP knows nothing of the national interest; would learn no
lessons from the experience of being impeached other than that once
again the rules do not apply to the likes of him. You were warned
that with tRUMP it is always about him, only him and no one else.
As he tweets about
'liberating' Michigan, Wisconsin and New Jersey from governors who
are proceeding with due caution, tweets that have called armed
militia to the state capitals in full-throated brown-shirt tactics in
order to re-open an economy closed down by his gross ineptitude. You
were warned.
You were warned that he
will do anything, sacrifice anyone, to satisfy his own personal ends
for, like his hero Adolph, he has confused being the head of state
with being the state itself. He thinks he is the nation, and that
whatever he sees as good for him, must also be in the national
interest. The pandemic and the public be damned.
So the country is being
pressured to re-open before any of the states have met the most
rudimentary guidelines. All this sacrifice, will be for naught.
In a conversation with our
daughter she was lamenting how long it will be before she will be
able to leave home and return to work. I told her that with tRUMP
one must always prepare for the worst, as he makes a pig's breakfast
of everything he touches. The worst is yet to come.
