September 2, 2018: Delusions of Caesar, In the Mind of Disgustus, Worst in History.

Only in the mind of Disgustus”.

----from “The Quotations of Chairman Joe”

He told us he would 'drain the swamp'. He told us that he would hire 'only the best'. He assured us that he is a 'stable genius', in possession of only 'the best words'. On Faux News he gave himself an A plus grade when asked to judge his performance. Such are the delusions of Caesar; only in the mind of Disgustus.

Experience is powerless to instruct. A year ago, in the wake of Hurricane Maria Disgustus, however reluctantly, dragged himself through the wreckage of Puerto Rico throwing paper towels to the assembled and assuring the nation that the federal response was swift and effective, citing a mere 16 deaths at the time and comparing his stewardship favorably with that of the hapless 'two-cows' experience with Katrina more than a decade earlier. But for months now, reports have surfaced that the disaster on the island, always understood to be very extensive, was much more deadly than reported. Of course the nation's attention has moved on, from one 'tweetstorm' to another as the birdbrain-in-chief regularly vents his spleen. But the picture of the incompetence as well as the mendacity of this foul administration is slowly beginning to emerge.

This week a report commissioned by the governor of Puerto Rico and conducted by George Washington University confirms the worst. Not only has it taken nearly a year to get some kind of reliable power back on for most of the island, but that the death toll has shot up to not the 65 or so reported last winter but to 2,965—more than double the mortality of New Orleans, making this administration's response one of the worst federal responses to a natural disaster in the history of this country. But such is the state of our politics that this sorry record of gross incompetence barely gets mention in the daily news.

Nevertheless, the fool on the hill remains clueless, convinced—or trying to convince—that he is a prime candidate for enshrinement on Mount Rushmore.

However, the façade is beginning to crack. As much as he croaks about the 'witch hunt' being conducted against him, as much as he cries that the investigations are illegitimate and that there “was no collusion”, the country is, increasingly, having none of it.

According to the most recent Washington Post/ABC poll, 63% of Americans support Robert Mueller's probe into the chicanery of Disgustus including nearly a third—32% of Rescumlickans. Only 29% of those polled oppose Mueller's investigations. Moreover, 60% now disapprove of Disgustus, 53% --a clear majority, strongly disapprove. Caesar Disgustus has the lowest approval rating of any 'president' since such polling began in the 1940's. Indeed, so serious is this becoming that a plurality of Americans 49%-46% now favor beginning impeachment proceedings. This is the highest level of support for impeachment ever recorded, topping the previous high-water mark set by Bill Clinton and now including 15% of Republicans polled. Clearly, even the 'bucket of deplorables' has sprung a leak. One can hear the word 'impeachment' in the halls of Congress and, increasingly, being muttered in the West Wing as the air surrounding Disgustus is slowly sucked out of the room.

The daily 'tweetstorms' and Giuliani's bombast are clearly not working. While Disgustus daily sings his own praise the country is becoming less and less convinced as the stench of this administration fills the nostrils of the nation. Disgustus thinks he deserves an A-plus. 41% of the nation, according to other reports, now say our self-anointed Caesar is the worst president in American history.

'An' Br'er Putin, he jus' laugh and laugh”

Impeach and Imprison
